Demsher/Hove Families – Irvine Family Photographer

One of the best parts of my job is meeting new families and getting a glimpse into their lives. This shoot was especially awesome since it was to honor and capture parents that were celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary. It was so fun getting to watch three generations of a family have a great time together.

It was great seeing the adult “kids” interact, to watch the grandchildren have a blast together and to see the grandparents taking it all in. There were 17 people in all which could have been a challenge, but this family made my job easy. 🙂

Thanks so much, Demsher & Hove families! It was an honor to be a part of your fun event!

Hunt Family – Irvine Family Photographer

This shoot was one of my last for the holiday season, and boy did we get lucky with the weather. It really could not have been a more perfect day. It was warm with gorgeous sunlight – not bad for Thanksgiving weekend (thank you Southern California weather!).

These girls were so fun to shoot – the littlest, Elena, is just so full of life and is crazy photogenic (check out the first photo!), and Isabel is just beautiful and sweet with the longest eyelashes I think I’ve ever seen in my life! Such a beautiful family with so much love.

Thanks Hunt Family!

Swanson Family – San Juan Capistrano Photographer

I always look forward to this shoot each year… in fact, my whole family looks forward to this shoot as it’s usually a family affair! (see last pick below). The Swansons are such great friends and Shane and Kylie are like my 3rd and 4th children.

The best thing about my shoots with them is that our shoots end up usually being like a big hang-out session… everyone is relaxed and at ease which is why I end up getting such fun shots of them.  It also helps that they are all so damn beautiful! I’m not sure there’s a more photogenic family out there!

Since the Swansons moved this past year, Nicki wanted to do a really fun shot to include on their change of address cards. And it was all her idea. This pool was NOT heated, and yes… they jumped in fully dressed! Isn’t this just crazy awesome!!!?

The rest of our shoot was done down in San Juan Capistrano at the Train Depot and Los Rios District. This location has such beautiful backdrops and colors… it really ended up being the perfect backdrop for them.

Thanks so much Swansons! Love you guys!!! xoxox!!!!

Potter Family – Orange County Photographer

My husband and I don’t have a ton of family in Southern California, so we really love when we get the chance to see the family that we do have living here. Sheila is my husband’s cousin – we love seeing them when we get the chance, which is usually around the holidays. This is my second year shooting their family (just the girls this time), and it’s so great watching these two cutie-pie’s grow up.

Natalie is so adorable – you can tell she is a responsible big sister and has both a serious side and a goofy side. And Alyssa – well, she is just full of goofiness! She is a ham, and a comedian, and a sweetheart. I just adore them both, as do my kids. I suppose they would be considered second cousins (or something twice-removed? I’m never sure…). 🙂

We will see you soon Potter Family! xoxo!!

Scott Family – Orange County Photographer

I know I always talk about how much I love my job. Being a professional photographer means I get to see families grow each year, capture meaningful memories, and have a blast while doing it. But what I also love is that I get to meet really  awesome new people and make new friends.

The Scott Family is one of my new clients this season and what a great family they are! Lisamay and Owen are two of the nicest, most laid back people… and they have FOUR children! As someone who grew up in a family of four, I usually think that a group of four kids is going to involve a lot of mayhem and crazy energy, but this was one of my easiest shoots I’ve ever had. The kids are as laid back as their parents, they are incredibly loving towards each other, and you could really see how they look out for each other. I especially loved seeing how the three older brothers watched out for their little sister… it’s such a beautiful thing.

Lisamay really wanted to shoot at the Lab in Costa Mesa because of the feel and vibrant colors – and the location completely matched this family’s personality. I really love when that happens.

Oh, and even their dog Django is laid back! He got in a few of the shots and worked the camera like a professional!

Thanks so much Scott Family! It was an honor to shoot your beautiful family!
